If you plan to broadcast copyrighted music, yes, you will generally need to acquire the appropriate music licenses for your region (e.g., performing rights organizations like PRS, PPL, or similar bodies in Uganda and internationally). Our platform facilitates the technical aspect of broadcasting, but it's your responsibility to ensure you have the necessary legal permissions for the content you play. For talk-only radio, music licenses are typically not required.
